Why is it painted green?
Epoxy-coated rebar is typically painted green to easily distinguish it from epoxy-reinforced rebar.
Construction Precautions
Transportation, welding, and bending can easily damage the coating. Once the coating breaks, the rebar is directly exposed to concrete, severely impacting its corrosion resistance. These areas require recoating or repair during construction.
Usage Environment
Epoxy-coated rebar is widely used in environments susceptible to chloride attack, such as marine environments, coastal docks, highway bridges, parking lots, and underground structures (such as subways and underground garages).
